Thanks for helping Gizmo! These terms cover playing Gizmo’s Town Rescue, a free game from CuppaPug. By playing, you agree to them. We have kept them short.

A little town, a lot of pugs

The town, the rescues and the errands in the game are make-believe. Playing never adopts, reserves or changes the adoption status of a real pug.

Real pugs in the game

Many of the pugs you meet are real rescue pugs looking for homes through CuppaPug. We show them to help more people get to know them. Their details come from CuppaPug’s adoption list and can change at any time, and a pug may be adopted before the game catches up.

Free cappuccino offer

1. Unlocking it. Two things: rescue (collect into your grumble) every pug currently up for adoption, as listed in the game, and be subscribed to pugdates, our optional emails about rescue pugs, new arrivals and offers. Rescuing only counts when the game has loaded the live adoption list, so you need to be online. The list changes as pugs find homes and new pugs arrive.
2. Joining pugdates. If you are not on pugdates yet, the game asks if you would like to join, with one tap (“Join and show my code”) or by entering your email. Joining is your choice. You can unsubscribe at any time, and unsubscribing later does not cancel a code the game has already shown you for that month. If sign-ups are unavailable, the game shows the code anyway.
3. Your code. The game then shows a discount code, currently RESCUECOFFEE. CuppaPug may change the code. Always use the one the game shows you.
4. Using it. Book a visit on CuppaPug’s booking site, add a cappuccino add-on to your booking, and enter the code at checkout. The code makes that cappuccino add-on free.
5. When it is valid. The code is valid for the calendar month in which you unlocked it. For example, if you unlock it on 12 October, use it by 31 October. The game shows the date it runs until. If you have still met every listed pug when a new month starts, the game shows the code again for that month.
6. One per booking. One free cappuccino per booking.
7. Where. Participating CuppaPug cafés in the UK: London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Brighton. A booking is required.
8. The small print. There is no cash alternative. The offer cannot be combined with other offers unless the checkout says it can. It is subject to availability.
9. Changes. CuppaPug may change or end the offer. If we do, we will say so in the game first. A code you have already unlocked will still be honoured for the month you unlocked it.
10. Fair play. The offer is for people playing the game. We may refuse the offer where it is being abused, for example by using automated tools to play, or by posting the code publicly for mass use.
11. Not an adoption. Unlocking the offer, like playing the game, never adopts or reserves a real pug.

Booking a visit

Café bookings happen on CuppaPug’s booking site (book.cuppapug.com), under its own terms. The game does not take payments or confirm bookings.

Your progress

Your score, your grumble and a few settings are saved in your browser on this device. They are not a cloud account or a backup. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing or switching devices can lose them. See what is saved on this device.

Sign-up

To play, we ask for your email address once on each device. There is no password or account. Please use your own address. Joining the newsletter is a separate, optional choice, and the box is never ticked for you. See the privacy notice for how we use your email.

Playing fair

Please play nicely. Do not try to break, overload or interfere with the game or other players, and do not copy the game or its artwork for other uses. Sharing your scores, your grumble and the share pictures the game makes is very welcome.

The game itself

The game is free and we keep improving it, so things may change, pause or occasionally go wrong. We cannot promise it will always be available or that your progress will always be kept. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law, or our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Changes to the coffee offer are covered in its own section above.
